What's My Motivation Here?!

Ok, so I'm officially pooped! Dave and I walked to dinner last night. We walked round-trip about 3 miles. The 3 miles isn't what wore me out.... Group Power today did it!! We went to our regular class which meets Tuesdays and Thursday evenings from 5:40 to 6:40, with Liz. Liz is a great instructor, and over the last three classes the number of participants keeps growing. I upped my weights this week, and over did it just a little bit on the chest track. I made it through that track, but kept the weight up through the shoulders, and it was just too much for the shoulders track. I still have jello arms... I'll really be feeling it tomorrow!! Oh well, you live and learn. I figured out tonight that I even after I upped the weight for the warm-up and the leg tracks I can still go about another little bit more. Tonight I did a medium and small weight. I'll up that for Thursday.
I've really been thinking about going to one of the Group Kick classes... I just have to figure out where it'll fit into my schedule. Not sure if I'll make it to Group Kick this week, but I'll definitely try it out next week if I can.
Since I barely slept last night, darn tossing and turning, and after a very long, hot and sweaty day of working hard outside at work, then Group Power, I think I'm ready for bed. Until next time... "Squeeze!"

I'm so glad that you're keeping up with Group Power. And that you've gotten Dave involved too. That's great! You're probably already doing more weights than me. I'm going to have to work extra hard to keep ahead of you. :) Every once in a while I post the weights I'm doing for each track, so I can see how I've improved.

I'll bet your Group Kick class is the same as our BodyCombat. It's fun, but it is really tough! I went on Monday night, and I was dripping with sweat by the time class was over. It's definitely a great cardio workout!! And it's a fantastic way to release a lot of aggression--all that kicking and punching (I have a few people that I imagine beating the crap out of).

Between hitting the gym every day this week so far and giving up pop (I've switched to iced tea), I'm down two pounds!

Beemer!!!! Haha!

Today I finally saw a beamer in Lincoln (well, besides the one that I saw parked at the gym, which doesn't count--I remember the rules). And it's only been, what, three weeks? Told ya there weren't many here in Lincoln... We're not as rich and sophisticated as all y'all West Coasters.
